Open-source electronic and 3D printing technologies are spreading fast, allowing more and more people to access it and at a lower cost. But that doesn’t make the technology easier to handle. While today everyone can go ahead and create their project, everybody doesn’t have the competences to do so.

Learn to code and prototype with an Arduino
Arduinos are little microcontrollers on which we can upload our own code and plug a nearly infinite combination of components, sensors, motors, servos… Thereby, a light sensor and a light plugged on an Arduino could make a good custom smart light. Furthermore, these boards allow us to prototype a project, create our own solution wether it’s a personal project or a futur business.
But before all of that, the way a board works must be understood to be able to talk with it. During this training we will learn the code’s logic and practice the Arduino’s language (close to C++) with practical examples (LEDs, sensors…). You will be able to program and prototype your own projects !
Learn 3D modeling with Autodesk Fusion 360
For 3D modeling, Bulb Zone chose Autodesk Fusion 360 : a professional software that we use daily in our own or our clients’ projects. The goal of this training course is to teach the basics of 3D modeling then quickly move on to real life practice by recreating an object or model a apprentice’s project.
The course will also have the goal to model with 3D printing in mind. We will see how to optimize your models and prepare them for a smooth printing.
Understand and master 3D printing
Wether it’s for leisure (printing toys, figurines, cosplay) or professional (architecture, modeling a prototype), it is important tout understand and master your 3D printer to successfully 3D print. A 3D printer kit within good hands and with good settings could make big brands look pale in comparison.
For that however, it is important to know how to calibrate your 3D printer, tune it’s settings according to the filament or the model, diagnose a print’s imperfections and be able to correct them… We’ll see all of that together.
